Intro:
I used to sit down to study and feel overwhelmed… where do I start? What’s most important? What if I get nothing done?
Eventually, I tried something small… and it completely changed how I approach studying.
The Habit: A 3-Item Study Plan
Every night before bed, I write down just 3 things I want to get done the next day. That’s it. No 10-item list, no hour-by-hour schedule. Just 3 doable study goals.
They might look like:
- Review lecture notes from today
- Practice 5 flashcard sets
- Watch the tutorial video I skipped earlier
This keeps my focus sharp, helps me avoid overwhelm, and gives me a clear direction the next day.
Why It Works for Me
When I used to write out huge to-do lists, I did none of it. It was too much.
Now, 3 simple goals feel achievable — and checking them off gives me a mini confidence boost. Plus, it creates momentum. Once I get started, I usually keep going.
Bonus Tip: Romanticize It
I keep this habit feeling good by pairing it with cozy vibes:
- Tea + candle
- Cute notepad or planner
- Calming playlist
Make it a moment you look forward to.
